63 thousand police officers for security; STF and civil defense force also on duty edit post

63 thousand police personnel have been deployed for security in view of the election today.

Police headquarters said that in addition 4000 police STF and 7000 Civil Security Force personnel have been deployed for security.

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that instructions have been given to the police to use necessary force to hold a peaceful election.
