Chamal declines to accept position!

Former speaker, MP Chamal Rajapaksa has declined to accept the Hambantota district development committee’s co-chairman position, say government sources.

Media has reported the government had decided to offer him the position, adding that Chamal would be supporting president Maithripala Sirisena.

He has told V FM that he was already cooperating with the president.

However, he informed the president yesterday (06) that he would not accept the co-chairman position.
