Finance Minister demand 2000 million rupees from former President Mahinda Rajapakse edit post

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that he would file a defamation case against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa demanding damage for 2 thousand million rupees.

The former president has stated recently that Finance Minister Karunanayake is granting loans through Lankaputra Development Bank in an arbitrary manner.

The Chairman of Lankaputra Development Bank Lasantha Gunawardana was also present at his media briefing.

He divulged how loans were taken from Lankaputra Bank through during the previous regime.

Lankaputra Development Bank Chairman Lasantha Gunawardana said that his bank owes over 1600 million rupees from such debtors.
