The ACMF was speaking thus during a media briefing in Colombo yesterday (31).
The committee urged not to let that happen to the case and tell the truth when being reported by media.
They added that exposing truth and ensuring justice is what that was being expected by Good Governance.
Advisor to the committee - Saman Wagaarachchi, convener of the ACMF - Freddy Gamage, ACMF member - Rohana Hettiarachchi, 'Purawesi Balaya' member - Dharmasiri Bandaranayake, Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri and Saman Rathnapriya were present at the media briefing.
However, in a press release on August 26, the ACMF had thanked the IGP and the Police for arresting a group who allegedly abducted Ekneligoda.
The press release had further said they had also urged the IGP to speedup the Ekneligoda investigation.
