“What Karuna says is false” - Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka

Former Army Commander Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka says that Karunaa Ammaan’s statement to the effect that LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran committed suicide is not true.

The Field Marshall said so in response to the statement Vinayagamoorthi alias Karunaa Ammaan had made to the effect that Velupillai Prabhakaran had committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol.

LTTE’s former Eastern Leader, Karunaa Ammaan who defected from the outfit and entered politics made this new revelation about Prabhakaran’s death in an interview with South India’s TV channel ‘Pudiyathalaimurai’.

However former Army Commander Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka says that Karunaa Ammaan’s statement is false.
