Woman’s body found in Maharagama

The body of an unidentified woman has been discovered at a field in the Polwatta area on the Pamunuwa Road, Maharagama.

The Police Spokesman’s Office said that the discovery was made based on information received trough the police emergency hotline service.

The cause of death is yet to be ascertained as the magistrate’s inquiry is expected to reveal if it was natural causes or murder.

The deceased has still not been identified while police are conducting an investigation.
