Investigations in to RADA files which were misplaced

Newly appointed Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe stated that an inquiry will be carried out in to the disappearance of files of RADA.

He expressed these views in reply to a question posed by a journalist after assuming duties as the 40th Auditor General of Sri Lanka.

H M K Herath, an officer of the Department who unravelled a fraud amounting to 169 Million Rupees gave a statement before the Colombo Crimes Investigation Division over the misplacement of the relevant files.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has made a request to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to initiate an inquiry over the alleged payment made to the LTTE during the 2005 Presidential election.
