Embilipitiya case: CID visits Mendis building along with main evidence edit post

The CID visited the Mendis building in Embilipitiya yesterday where the fatal incident that resulted in the death of a 29 year-old Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena.

The main witness of the fatal incident and the widow of the deceased, Nishamani Munasinghe also accompanied the CID.

Nishamani Munasinghe confirmed that this was the first time that she was visiting the scene, one month after the fatal incident took place.

She further said that she explained to the CID how the former ASP allegedly assaulted her late husband and pushed him off the upper level of the building.
