Two shot dead in Elpitiya edit post

A motorcyclist and a pillion rider have been shot dead by an unknown gunman in Rantotuwila area in Elpitiya, a short while ago on Tuesday (03) morning, the police say.

The Uragasmanhandiya police have launched investigations to identify the gunman and another individual who had reportedly arrived at the scene in a motorbike, according to the police.

The remains of the deceased have been sent to the Elpitiya hospital.
