Discussions with Prime Minister unsuccessful; Trade Unions confirm strike on Tuesday edit post

The Meeting between Representatives of many trade unions and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday was unsuccessful.

Convenor of the State, Private and Semi Government Trade Unions Collective, Saman Ratnapriya stated that apart from buying time for the issues no solutions were received.

Railway Trade Unions will also go on strike with effect from tomorrow midnight.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Lanka Teachers Association Joseph Stalin stated that the government should reconsider going ahead with the Ordinary Level examination on the 15th on which the strike will be held.
