2,000 Students seeking Grade 1 admissions, at home without schools

The Lanka Teachers Association says that over 2,000 students who did not receive Grade 1 Admissions continue to remain at home.

These views were expressed by Secretary of the Association Joseph Stalin.

However, Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam denied this allegation and said that although it was not feasible to provide admission to a National School for every child, it was possible to provide education at the best school in the respective Division.
