MR to meet SLFP LG representatives edit post

According to political sources, Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to hold a special meeting with SLFP representatives of the provincial council today.

Members of the joint opposition are to participate in this meeting held in Colombo.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Moratuwa Saman Lal Fernando says that the provincial council act should be amended in a manner that the representatives are elected directly by the people.

He expressed these views at a special meeting held with the representatives of the Colombo Provincial council.
