Special traffic plan in Kandy tomorrow

A special traffic plan will be in place in Kandy City tomorrow for the cremation ceremony of late Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sect Most Venerable Galagama Sri Aththadassi, Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake said.

The road on which the possession carrying the remains of the Late Thero is due to proceed will be completely barricaded for two hours, the Chief Minister said.

The remains will be laid for the public to pay their respects till 12.00 pm tomorrow.

Later, the remains will be handed over to the Buddhist clergy for the delivery of religious traditions.
