Don’t blame government for scarcity of water – President makes a request from the farmers edit post

President Maithripala Sirisena made a request from the farmers in Polonnaruwa today, not to blame the government when they face a scarcity of water for cultivation.

The President stated this while addressing the national ceremony of Aluth Sahal Mangalya held at Gal Vihara premises in Polonnaruwa yesterday.

The President also revealed that previously there were plans to supply water for the new season by 1st of April.

However, as the farmers disagreed, the water will be supplied following the New Year festival.
