3 A/L students die after drowning in Kalu Ganga

3 Advanced Level students have died while bathing at a bathing spot in Kalu Ganga at Duwegama, Uggalbada in Kalutara this afternoon.

The victims, an 18 year old student and two 19 year old students, are residents of Wilegoda area in Kalutara.

The 3 students arrived at the Kalu Ganga bathing spot in 2 motor cycles at 10am today, and have been bathing for more than 2 hours in the river.

Later the police, Navy and the residents of the area rescued the three youths who were drowned.

The students were pronounced dead upon admission to Nagoda Hospital in Kalutara.
