Bus lane for Galle road!

In order to further ease the traffic congestion in urban areas, separate bus lanes would be introduced within the next two years, Professor of Transport at the Moratuwa University - Dr. Amal S.Kumarage says.

The initial step would commence from the Galle road and the Bus lane for Galle road would commence within the next two years.

Bus priority lanes are so termed as they are intended to provide priority travel for buses vis-à-vis other traffic.

Dr. Kumarage also says that they also intend to introduce articulated single-decker buses comprising two rigid parts linked together by a pivoting joint.
