Responding to an article in ‘Sathhanda’ newspaper.
The newspaper article claimed Rathana Thera was to return to the UPFA in order to prevent the UNP from forming a government after the election.
It is unlikely Rathana Thera is to get appointed to parliament due to the UNP policy not to grant such positions to Buddhist monks, it said.
Meanwhile, Rathana Thera participated in three election rallies attended by prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Matara on 8th of August.
