Jaffna high court jails 4 soldiers edit post

The Jaffna High Court jailed four soldiers for 25 years each after the suspects were found guilty of raping two women at Vishwa Madu in Mullaitivu.

Delivering the judgment, High court Judge Manikkawasagar Ilancheliyan ordered to pay 500 thousand rupees to one victim and 100 thousand rupees to the other victim as compensation.

However one suspect had fled the area before he was arrested.

The four soldiers were accused of raping the two women in a hut at Vishwa Madu in Mullaitivu on the 6th of June 2010.
