A successful surgery carried out in Peradeniya for removing 2 iron rods from a body edit post

Two iron rods stuck in the body of a person admitted to the Peradeniya Hospital were removed after a three-hour successful surgery.

A 72-year-old retired army officer residing in Sarasavigama in Peradeniya was admitted to the hospital last afternoon due to two iron rods getting stuck in his body, one piercing his left arm and the other in his left cheek.

A hospital spokesperson said that by now the patient was receiving treatment in normal condition after the surgery.
