Five killed, 22 injured in accident at Dummaladeniya edit post

Five persons were killed in an accident at Dummaladeniya in Warakapola on the Colombo – Kandy main road.

Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that the accident took place when a private bus and a van collided at about 4:30 this morning.

A little child, and three women and the driver of the van were all killed in the accident.

Reports say that while the van was heading toward kandy from Colombo,  the private bus was on its way to Colombo.

The police media spokesman said that the persons killed in the accident were residents of Ampara and Kalmunai.
