The child who went missing in Kotadeniyawa has been found dead this morning, the police media unit said.
The body was found from a paddy field in close proximity to her house.
The police were yesterday investigating the disappearance of a 4 1/2 year old child in Kotadeniyawa.
According to the police a complaint was received that the child had gone missing early last morning while she was sleeping with her parents.
The police said that a search operation had then been launched to locate the child.
