
Issuing a press release, the Ministry clarified that the Government Analyst’s Department report on the weaponry has been submitted to the Court on December 4.
In October, nearly 900 firearms including T56 rifles and around 200,000 bullets were found onboard the second ship of the Avant-Garde Security Services [Pvt] Ltd.
Officials of the Analyst Department boarded the floating armory docked at the Gall Harbor to obtain accurate information on the weapons stocked in the vessel on November 4.
The navy had carried out preliminary inquiries on the ship and handed a report to the Defence Secretary. The report is being analyzed by a committee appointed by the Ministry of Defence.
The Presidential Commission had also initiated a separate investigation following an order given by the President.
