Bribery commission goes after Priyankara Jayaratne!

The Bribery Commission has summoned Civil Aviation Authority officials in the course of investigations into financial irregularities that had allegedly taken place during the period Priyankara Jayaratne was the subject minister.

Appointed to the new parliament on the national list, he is presently the provincial councils and local government state minister.

The Authority officials have mostly been questioned about the foreign trips undertaken by Jayaratne, his family members and relatives.

Last week, commission officials visited the Authority office, inspected documents and took away some of them.

Human resources officials of the Authority are still being questioned.
