Use of thin polythene barred from today edit post

The Central Environment Authority says that with effect from today the use of thin polythene or polythene less than 20 micron in density is banned.

Accordingly Central Environment Authority Chairman Professor Laal Dharmasiri said that the production, sale or possessing of polythene less than 20 micron in density was illegal.
